I learned to play volleyball while working for IT@UT.  I had played basketball in high school and never gave volleyball much of a chance.  A group from IT and other offices would play at noon, so I figured it would be a great way to meet some new folks.  I fell in love with it.  I then played for another 20 years.  Among those who played were John Camden, Wally Reeves, Bretna Smith and several others.  During one Intramurals tournament, I went for a ball which was pretty much gone and hit my face against the back wall.  I fractured the rim of my left eye socket.  Not a pretty sight...
