Memorial Day flood
Those programmers in DP (including Cathy Lester) who worked Memorial Day weekend, 1981 on the conversion to Adabas couldn’t go home because of flooding.
Taylor Hall flood
There was a flood in Taylor Hall underground where the nuclear reactor was. Responders wearing hazmat suits told students and staff that everything was o.k. and they could go back in the building.
Fires
Computation Center fire
A fire in the computation center melted reel tapes, probably back in the 70s.
